KNO. MEDIA + BLACK MENTAL WELLNESS present Feed Your Mind
We have reached event capacity. Please feel free to sign up for our waitlist and we will be sure to reach out if space opens up!
With social injustice still very prevalent in our society, self-identity is as important as ever as more and more people are looking inwards to bring about real change. The factors that influence our identities are numerous but exploring these various factors help us better understand ourselves, our roles to play in creating sustainable change in our society and can ultimately lead to better mental well-being.Â
Aimed at facilitating communication and the sharing of resources and experiences to promote self-awareness and self-love in the Black community, Feed Your Mind brought to you by Kno. Media + Black Mental Wellness will be an interactive digital workshop led by Black clinical psychologists to help participants examine the intersectionality of their own identities exploring questions such as: What makes me who I am? How can I stay empowered during disempowering circumstances? How do we show up and be who we are authentically?
Core themes to be explored through thought exercises, journaling prompts, guided meditation and enriching conversation include: Intersectional Identity, Expanding Beyond Limitations, Claiming Radical Self-Love, Community Support, Conscious and Subconscious Healing and more.Â
Â
Please note this event is for the Black community to create a space to process and understand the weight of the many complex emotions that we are feeling and carrying right now. If you do not identify as a Black person and would like to support, please contact us at editor@knoonline.com to discuss.Â
